Service Express is Named One of 2017’s Top Workplaces in Michigan by the Detroit Free Press

November 6, 2017

Grand Rapids, MI/ Detroit, MI – Service Express has been awarded a 2017 Top Workplaces honor by the Detroit Free Press. The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, just to name a few.

The contest, in its tenth year and running in partnership with the Workplace Dynamics consulting firm, looks at how well Michigan employers are keeping workers motivated and satisfied by evaluating 24-question employee surveys.

“For the employees, we find that earning the Top Workplaces designation is a nice boost for morale,” said Bob Helbig, the media partnership’s director for Workplace Dynamics. “It’s a nice validation of all the hard work that goes into creating a good work environment. Good workplaces don’t happen by accident.”

“Service Express’ talented employees are the foundation for our success. In fact, our company Vision is ‘to work with employees to help them achieve their personal, professional, and financial goals,’ so our team is the basis for everything we do,said Service Express President and CEO Ron Alvesteffer. “The fact that the the employee survey results came back so positive validates the effort we put in cultivating a strong corporate culture.”

In addition to being named a 2017 Best Workplace, Service Express was also inducted into the Circle of Excellence. The honor is bestowed on firms whose employees give them top marks every year. The class of 2017 joins the 18 companies that were inducted in 2015 and 2016.

“These are companies that have been lauded year after year by their employees for great leadership, terrific benefits and attention to helping employees balance work and home life,” said Peter Bhatia, editor and vice president of the Free Press. “Employees at each of the companies gave its leadership high marks for creating a culture that makes employees want to come to work every day.”
